Using You
Strength has left you
Disease taking you in
I once praised you
Held you high
Now i look to my feet
In a ball shivering
Wolves circleing
Should I help
will I watch
You cry for help
raising a hand
mercy was something
you never taught me
I feel a pang so I help
now you are no more
I have nothing to fear
My roots stretch
I grow strong
the sun blazeing down
my limbs reach further
the wolves
now circle me
feeding on what I leave for them
I take the weakest
teaching him
what you have tought me
what I have learned
in your passing
He will not challenge
Years have passed
A candle lit
mine is strong
feeding on his brothers
on you
I've trimmed his branches
kept him lower then me
now his roots strangle mine
My roots have left the soil
I can not hold my self
he is weak
but his roots run deeper
I fall to the wolves
My cries for help unheard
Now his cousins feed
on what is left of me
I think of you
and the Candle dies.
